Hostinger Email IMAP, POP3 and SMTP settings
These are the settings Hostinger publishes for Hostinger Email, its own mailbox product, checked on its help pages on November 1, 2026. hPanel shows the same values for your domain, and the sending limit depends on the plan.
Short answer
For Hostinger Email, the IMAP server is imap.hostinger.com on port 993 with SSL, and the SMTP server is smtp.hostinger.com on port 465 with SSL. POP3 is pop.hostinger.com on port 995. If SMTP gives encryption errors, use port 587 with TLS or STARTTLS. Sign in with your complete email address and the mailbox password.
Hostinger Email server settings
Where to find the settings in hPanel
- Open the Emails section of the Hostinger dashboard.
- Click Manage next to your domain name.
- Choose Connect Apps & Devices in the sidebar. The page lists the servers and ports for your mailboxes.
Hostinger Email IMAP, POP3 and SMTP servers
- Incoming (IMAP):
imap.hostinger.com, port993, SSL - Incoming (POP3):
pop.hostinger.com, port995, SSL - Outgoing (SMTP):
smtp.hostinger.com, port465, SSL - Outgoing alternative:
smtp.hostinger.com, port587, TLS or STARTTLS - Username: the complete email address, such as
name@domain.tld - Password: the email account password, which you can reset if you forgot it
In Outlook, add the mailbox as an IMAP account, not as a Microsoft 365 or Exchange account.[3]
The new Outlook app does not connect
Hostinger's help center reports that Hostinger Email does not connect reliably in the new Outlook app. The symptoms are a mailbox that stops syncing, missing or empty folders, and Authentication failed errors, even though the mail itself is safe.[3]
- Use Thunderbird, which Hostinger recommends.
- Use classic Outlook while Microsoft still offers it, with your full address and mailbox password.
- Use Hostinger Webmail in a browser.
Hostinger Email sending limits per plan
Limits are per mailbox and measured over a rolling 24 hours, not a calendar day. Inbound and outbound mail are counted separately.[2]
- Business Starter: 1,000 outbound emails per day, 5 GB storage
- Business Standard: 3,000 outbound emails per day, 20 GB storage
- Business Premium: 3,000 outbound emails per day, 50 GB storage
- Free trials of Business Starter: 100 outbound emails per day, lifted when you upgrade
- Every plan: 100 recipients per message, counting To, Cc and Bcc together
- Every plan: outgoing email up to 35 MB with attachments up to 25 MB; incoming email up to 50 MB
Common Hostinger Email problems
- SMTP encryption errors on port 465: switch to port 587 with TLS or STARTTLS.
- Outlook keeps failing with Authentication failed: check whether you are on the new Outlook app. Hostinger recommends classic Outlook, Thunderbird or Webmail for its mailboxes.
- Outlook set it up as Exchange: remove the account and add it again as IMAP.
- Writing to more than 100 people: split the message. Every plan allows 100 recipients per message across To, Cc and Bcc.
- Sending stops partway through the day: the plan's daily limit was reached in the last 24 hours.
Using a mailbox on your own domain instead
Hostinger Email runs on your own domain, so the address can move to another host. The mailbox and its limits stay with the Hostinger plan, so keep the Hostinger mailbox active until the mail is imported.
A Shipmail mailbox on your own domain works in the same apps with one set of settings: server mx1.shipmail.to, IMAP on port 993 with SSL/TLS, SMTP on port 465 with SSL/TLS or 587 with STARTTLS, and your full address as the username. Plans start at $4 a month for 2 mailboxes. It is not free, and it only makes sense if you want an address you own rather than one tied to a provider.Sources[4]Shipmail email client connection settings[5]Shipmail pricing
