Terms of Service
Last updated: March 6, 2026
The basics
shipmail ("we", "us") provides business email hosting, an API, and related tools at shipmail.to. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
Your account
You are responsible for your account and everything that happens under it. Keep your API keys and credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old to use shipmail. One person or legal entity per account.
What you can do
Use shipmail for legitimate business email. Send transactional and business correspondence. Connect your domains. Use the API and SDK to integrate email into your applications.
What you cannot do
- Send spam or unsolicited bulk email.
- Send phishing, malware, or fraudulent content.
- Violate CAN-SPAM, GDPR, or other applicable email regulations.
- Use shipmail to harass, threaten, or impersonate others.
- Attempt to access other users' accounts, mailboxes, or data.
- Resell the service without written agreement.
- Exceed your plan limits through automated means to circumvent billing.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice depending on severity.
Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Prices are listed on the pricing page. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
We may change prices with 30 days notice. Price changes apply at the start of your next billing period.
Your data
You own your data. Your emails, domains, and mailbox configurations belong to you. We do not sell, share, or mine your data. See our privacy policy for details on what we collect and why.
If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days. Audit logs may be retained longer for security purposes, with personally identifiable fields removed.
Email delivery
We make reasonable efforts to deliver your email reliably, but email delivery depends on factors outside our control (recipient servers, DNS propagation, spam filters). We do not guarantee 100% delivery.
Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice. We are not liable for downtime, data loss, or damages resulting from service interruptions.
Liability
shipmail is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of shipmail after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
