White label email hosting: who really offers it in 2026

White label means your client sees your brand, not the host's, and pays you, not the host. Few email providers do both, and most of the big ones only offer referral or partner deals. Here's who actually sells it, what it costs, and when you don't need it at all. Prices are US dollars, checked on October 25, 2026, on each provider's own page.

Founder of Shipmail. Building business email hosting for solo founders and small teams.

  • White label
  • Email reseller
  • Agencies
  • Client email

Short answer

For true white label email hosting, with your brand on the control panel and your own prices, MXroute's reseller plans start at $30 a quarter and OpenSRS sells mailboxes wholesale at $0.50 per 5 GB a month. Shipmail is not white-label and has no reseller program. It fits agencies that run client email under their own account, up to 50 domains per organization, or set each client up in an organization the client pays for.

What white label email hosting actually means

White label email hosting is two things: your brand on what the client sees, and your price on what the client pays. If a provider only does one, it isn't really white label.

  • Branding: the control panel, and ideally webmail and server names, sit on your domain with your logo. The client never sees the host's name.
  • Billing: you buy at a wholesale rate and charge the client whatever you like. The host bills you, never the client.
  • Control: you create and suspend client accounts yourself, usually from one panel or an API.

A reseller program gives you the billing part. A referral or affiliate program gives you neither: the client buys from the host and you get a commission. All three get called white label in sales pages, so check which one you're looking at.

Ask yourself one question first: does the client care whose logo is on the inbox? Most small clients care that email works on their own domain, and that someone answers when it doesn't. If that's your client, you may not need white label at all.

Providers that sell real white label email

MXroute and OpenSRS are the two that publish reseller prices and offer white-label branding without a sales call. MXroute is the easy start for a freelancer, and OpenSRS suits a hosting business billing many clients.Sources[1]MXroute reseller plans[3]OpenSRS hosted email pricing

MXroute Reseller

What it is
Low-cost email hosting with a white-label reseller tier.
Best for
A freelancer or small agency that wants a branded panel and no contract.
Key fact
$30 a quarter for 75 GB, $45 a quarter for 150 GB, $25 a month for 200 GB.

You get a white-label control panel on your own URL, direct customer logins and per-customer storage limits, and you set your own prices. MXroute hides its branding behind your domain. The reseller page lists plans by storage only and gives no customer or domain caps. Regular MXroute plans, from $59 a year for 10 GB, already allow unlimited domains, but they come without the branded panel.Sources[1]MXroute reseller plans[2]MXroute pricing

OpenSRS (Tucows)

What it is
A wholesale platform that sells domains and hosted email to resellers.
Best for
Web hosts and agencies with enough clients to run a reseller account.
Key fact
$0.50 per 5 GB mailbox a month, billed monthly from your reseller balance.

OpenSRS prices mailboxes in 5 GB steps: $1 for 10 GB, $2.50 for 25 GB, $5 for 50 GB. White-label options are included. Charges come out of your prepaid reseller balance at the end of each month, and email forwards cost $0.02 each a month. You need a reseller account first, and you handle client billing and first-line support yourself.Sources[3]OpenSRS hosted email pricing[4]OpenSRS Hosted Email billing for resellers

Mailbox.org lists a reseller solution and an API to offer its service to your users on your own website, but publishes no reseller prices, so ask them. Its regular business plans start at 1 EUR a user a month.[5]

Partner programs that aren't white label

Zoho, Google and Titan all run partner programs, and none of them puts your brand on the product. You earn commissions or manage clients from a partner console, but the client still sees Zoho, Google or Titan.Sources[6]Zoho Mail partnership program[8]Google Workspace referral and affiliate programs[10]Titan partner program

Zoho Mail partner program

What it is
A channel program for resellers of Zoho Mail and Workplace.
Best for
Agencies whose clients want cheap per-user mail plus Zoho's apps.
Key fact
Commissions and a partner store; no rates or minimums published.

Partners manage customers' domains, users, policies and security from one partner store, with free bulk migrations. The program page mentions commissions in a five-tier structure but gives no numbers, and it doesn't mention rebranding. Retail Mail Lite is $1 a user a month billed yearly, so the client can always see what Zoho charges.Sources[6]Zoho Mail partnership program[7]Zoho Mail pricing

Google Workspace referral and reseller

What it is
Two routes: a referral program anyone can join, and an authorized reseller program.
Best for
Clients who already work in Docs, Drive and Meet.
Key fact
Referral pays a flat commission per user, capped at 200 users a year; amounts aren't public.

The referral program is the easy route: the client buys from Google, and you get a commission. Reselling, where you bill the client, needs approval as a Google Workspace partner and a signed reseller contract before you can use the Partner Sales Console. Either way the client signs in to Google, not to you.Sources[8]Google Workspace referral and affiliate programs[9]Google Workspace Reseller API prerequisites

Titan sells through web hosts and domain registrars such as GoDaddy, HostGator Brazil and Name.com, and lets them package it under their own brand. There's no self-serve signup on the partner page, only a contact form, so it's built for hosting companies, not a five-person agency.[10]

Where Shipmail fits, and where it doesn't

Shipmail isn't white label. Clients see the Shipmail name when they sign in, their mail apps connect to mx1.shipmail.to, and our terms rule out reselling the service without a written agreement. There's no public reseller program. If you need your brand on the inbox, pick MXroute or OpenSRS.Sources[12]Shipmail terms of service[13]Shipmail email client connection settings

Shipmail fits when what you really sell is the work: setting up the domain, running the mailboxes and answering client mail as a team. There are two ways to set that up.

  1. Step 1

    You run the client's email

Add each client domain to your agency's organization, up to 50 with no fee per domain. You pay Shipmail, so ten client mailboxes cost $27 a month (Pro plus 6 extra mailboxes). Give each teammate Selected mailboxes access, so they only see the clients they work on. What you charge for setup and support is your business.

  2. Step 2

    The client owns and pays

Create a separate organization for the client and choose My client pays. Shipmail emails the client a link to own the organization and pick a plan, and you stay on as an Admin with access to every mailbox. Pro is preselected, because Solo has no room for you as an Admin. When the contract ends, nothing needs to move.

Sources[11]Shipmail pricing[15]Shipmail team roles and mailbox access documentation[14]Shipmail organizations documentation

Each client domain can also have its own logo, which shows on that client's booking pages and booking emails. That's the closest Shipmail gets to client branding, and it's the client's brand, not yours.[16]

Which setup to choose

  • Your brand on the panel, your price on the invoice, a handful of clients: MXroute Reseller.
  • Dozens or hundreds of client mailboxes billed through your own hosting business: OpenSRS.
  • Clients who need Docs and Meet: Google Workspace, through the referral program or a reseller.
  • Clients who want the cheapest per-user mail and Zoho's apps: Zoho's partner program.
  • You answer client mail as a team, or clients should own their accounts while you manage them: Shipmail.

One warning about reselling. When you bill the client, you're also their support desk and their single point of failure. If you stop paying the host or close your business, their email goes with you. Put the domain in the client's own name either way, and keep the DNS logins somewhere they can reach.
