Zoho Mail pricing in 2026: every plan and what a team pays

These are US prices from Zoho's Mail pricing page, checked on November 1, 2026. Zoho shows each visitor a local currency, so a visitor in Europe sees euros, and it adds local taxes such as VAT on top. Every plan is priced per user.

What Zoho Mail Free includes

Mail Free hosts email for one domain and up to 5 users, with 5 GB per user and no credit card. It has no IMAP, POP or ActiveSync, so you read mail in Zoho's web and mobile apps only, not in Outlook or Apple Mail. When you add a 6th user, every user moves to a paid plan. Zoho offers the free plan in select data centers only.[1]

Annual and monthly billing

Mail Lite and Mail Premium have no monthly plan. Workplace plans can be paid monthly: $4 instead of $3 on Standard, $7 instead of $6 on Professional. Zoho puts the annual saving at about 20%, varying by region. There is no long-term contract, and you can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time.[1]

Zoho offers a 15-day free trial of the highest edition without a credit card. Nonprofits and charities get special pricing through Zoho sales.[1]

Storage and seat limits

  • Mail Free: up to 5 users and one domain, 5 GB per user.
  • Mail Lite: 5 GB or 10 GB per user, no file storage, any team size.
  • Mail Premium: 50 GB per user plus 50 GB of retention storage, no file storage.
  • Workplace Standard: 30 GB of mail per user. Team file storage is 100 GB for 3 to 10 users, plus 10 GB for each user after 10. Teams under 3 users get 10 GB per user.
  • Workplace Professional: 100 GB of mail per user plus 100 GB of retention. Team file storage is 1 TB for 3 to 10 users, plus 100 GB for each user after 10.
[1]

Your total is the per-user price times the licenses you buy. The 5 free users apply to Mail Free only; on a paid plan every user is billed.[1]

Add-ons

Zoho sells extra mail storage and extra WorkDrive file storage, bought from the admin console after sign-up. It also sells a contact center add-on with calling plans and credits for digital signatures. Check the add-on price in your admin console before you buy.[1]

What each plan leaves out

  • Mail Free: no IMAP, POP or ActiveSync, no second domain, and no more than 5 users.
  • Mail Lite: no file storage, no email retention or eDiscovery, no S/MIME.
  • Mail Premium: no WorkDrive file storage and none of the Writer, Sheet, Show or Meeting apps.
  • Workplace Standard: no email retention or eDiscovery, no S/MIME.
  • Workplace Professional: everything above. Identity management and custom limits are on Workplace Enterprise.

Recent price changes

Zoho's pricing page announces no price change. The US prices are the same as when we last checked the page, on October 15, 2026.[1]

Worked example: a year for 3 and 10 people

Zoho bills every user, so the yearly cost is the price per user times the team times 12. Three people fit on Mail Free if they can live without IMAP. Ten people cannot.[1]

  • 3 people on annual billing: Mail Lite (5 GB) $36. Mail Lite (10 GB) $45. Mail Premium $144. Workplace Standard $108. Workplace Professional $216.
  • 10 people on annual billing: Mail Lite (5 GB) $120. Mail Lite (10 GB) $150. Mail Premium $480. Workplace Standard $360. Workplace Professional $720.

Paid monthly, Workplace Standard costs $144 a year for 3 people and $480 for 10.[1]

Zoho Mail compared with Shipmail

Zoho Mail Lite is cheaper than Shipmail for a small team: $36 a year for 3 people against $90 on Shipmail Pro. If you want the lowest price for basic mailboxes, Zoho wins.Sources[1]Zoho Mail pricing[2]Shipmail pricing

Shipmail prices the plan, not the person. Solo is $4 a month for 2 mailboxes and one person, Pro $9 for 4 mailboxes and up to 5 people, and Team $29 for 12 mailboxes and unlimited people. Annual billing costs 10 times the monthly price. Each mailbox holds 15 GB on Solo and Pro and 25 GB on Team.[2]

  • 3 people on Shipmail Pro: $9 a month, $90 a year on annual billing.
  • 10 people on Shipmail Team: $29 a month, $290 a year on annual billing.

For that price, each Shipmail plan includes a team inbox for support@ with assignment and internal notes, booking pages, newsletters with no subscriber limit, and an AI assistant in beta. Shipmail has no office apps, file storage or retention archive. If you need those, Zoho Workplace covers them.Sources[2]Shipmail pricing[3]Shipmail shared inbox documentation[4]Shipmail booking pages documentation[5]Shipmail audiences documentation[6]Shipmail Assistant documentation
