Terms of Service
Last updated: October 10, 2026
The basics
Shipmail ("we", "us") provides business email hosting, an API, and related tools at shipmail.to. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
Your account
You are responsible for your account and everything that happens under it. Keep your API keys and credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old to use Shipmail. One person or legal entity per account.
What you can do
Use Shipmail for legitimate business email. Send transactional and business correspondence. Connect your domains. Use the API and SDK to integrate email into your applications.
What you cannot do
- Send spam or unsolicited bulk email, or use Shipmail as the reply or receiving address for bulk email you send through another provider without recipient consent.
- Send phishing, malware, or fraudulent content.
- Violate CAN-SPAM, GDPR, or other applicable email regulations.
- Use Shipmail to harass, threaten, or impersonate others.
- Attempt to access other users’ accounts, mailboxes, or data.
- Resell the service without written agreement.
- Exceed your plan limits through automated means to circumvent billing.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice depending on severity.
Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Prices are listed on the pricing page. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard. Subscription cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. If you delete your account and organization, the subscription is canceled immediately when deletion starts and access ends. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you move to a smaller plan part-way through a period, the unused value is added to your account as credit and applied to your next invoice; it is not refunded to your card. Ask us and we will refund any credit left on your account when you cancel.
We may change prices with 30 days’ notice. Price changes apply at the start of your next billing period.
Your data
You own your data. Your emails, domains, and mailbox configurations belong to you. We do not sell, share, or mine your data. Our privacy policy explains what we collect and why. Our Data Processing Agreement, published at shipmail.to/dpa, is part of these terms and applies to every organization.
If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days. Audit logs may be kept longer for security purposes. They are no longer linked to your account, but can still contain IP addresses and the email addresses or domain names involved in an action.
Google Maps
Address autocomplete is optional. If you use it, your use of Google Maps content is also subject to the Google Maps Platform Terms of Service.
Email delivery
We make reasonable efforts to deliver your email reliably, but delivery depends on factors outside our control, including recipient servers, DNS propagation, and spam filters. We do not guarantee 100% delivery.
Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice. We are not liable for downtime, data loss, or damages resulting from service interruptions.
Liability
Shipmail is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of Shipmail after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
