Email for nonprofits and community groups
Who qualifies
Groups where nobody is making money out of it.
Registered charities and nonprofits qualify. So do the ones that never registered: sports clubs, parent groups, residents' associations, food banks, choirs, scout troops, local volunteer projects. In a lot of places a small group under an income threshold isn't even allowed to register, so we don't make a number the test. Send one if you have it and this goes faster.
What we can't do is a business. If there are owners or shareholders taking a profit, or selling something is the main activity, the normal price applies, even if some of it goes to a good cause.
What you get
Half price on Solo, Pro, and Team, extra mailboxes included, for as long as you keep qualifying.
Same product as everyone else. Mailboxes on your own domain, shared addresses like info@ or bookings@ that the whole committee can answer, calendars, and the assistant. Team covers 12 mailboxes, which is more than most groups need. If yours is bigger, tell us and we'll sort something out.
We might check in once a year to make sure nothing has changed.
Bring your old email with you
Nothing gets left behind and nobody sets up twice.
Already on Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or whatever mailbox came with your web hosting? The built-in import copies the old mail across over IMAP.
Volunteers come and go. The mailbox stays on your domain, so when the secretary hands over, the address and everything in it goes with the job instead of leaving with the person.
How to ask
Send us an email and tell us what your group does.
Write to support [at] shipmail.to with a link to your website or social page, and a registration number if you have one. We usually reply the same day with a code to use at checkout.
We decide these case by case, so if you're not sure whether your group counts, just ask.
