How Shipmail Research works.

The short version: keep facts close to their source, show the awkward caveats, and never turn a handful of comments into a market statistic.

Provider facts

Prices, limits, protocols, and security controls come from official provider pages. Every record has a check date, market, currency, and source. "Not documented" does not mean "not supported."

Cost calculations

We keep currencies separate. Intro prices do not become renewal prices. Per-user, bundled, flat, and usage-based plans keep their own labels so a cheap-looking number does not lose the condition that made it cheap.

Reviews and discussions

Public comments help us spot recurring problems. We store the discussion link and a short source-level summary, not a person's handle or profile. Review sites and social platforms are checked manually unless their rules clearly allow automation.

Security findings

We only test systems and accounts we are allowed to test. A named provider gets the setup and result before publication, normally with 30 days to reply. Urgent issues use coordinated disclosure instead of the report schedule.

Corrections and reuse

Dated editions stay frozen. Corrections create a new dataset version and a visible note. Research datasets use CC BY 4.0 with the attribution printed beside each download.
