Short answer
Yandex 360 is the better fit when your team already wants the Yandex workspace: Mail, Disk, Telemost, Calendar, and organization controls. Shipmail is the cleaner Yandex Mail alternative when you only need custom-domain email, shared role inboxes, IMAP/SMTP, webmail, calendar, contacts, and API access without paying per employee for a full suite.

Yandex 360 for Business pricing starts at $3.99/user/month; Shipmail starts at $4/month flat for 1 mailbox
Shipmail Pro is $9/month for 3 mailboxes and 5 team members
Choose Yandex for the Yandex 360 suite; choose Shipmail for focused email hosting and shared inboxes
Yandex 360 for Business is a workspace suite. Email is part of the product, but the broader pitch is Yandex Disk storage, Telemost meetings, Calendar, organization management, and business controls. That is useful when the team wants those tools together.
Its public business pricing lists Basic at $3.99/user/month, Optimal at $6.49/user/month, and Advanced at $16.99/user/month, with separate variants that include Yandex Tracker. That pricing structure is familiar if you are comparing it to Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. It is less ideal if you only need a few active mailboxes on one domain.
Shipmail is focused email hosting for small teams. The product is built around custom-domain mailboxes, role addresses like support@ and hello@, shared inbox access, webmail, IMAP/SMTP, calendars, contacts, API access, and webhooks.
That narrower scope changes the pricing. A solo operator can run one mailbox on Shipmail Solo for $4/month. Pro provides three mailboxes for $9/month, while Team provides ten for $29/month. The bill is tied to mailbox tiers, not every employee in the organization.
Shipmail is also a better fit when email is part of a product or workflow. The REST API, SDKs, and webhooks are meant for sending, receiving, reading, replying, and automating mailbox work. Yandex has Mail for Domain API documentation, but Yandex 360 is primarily a workspace product.
Yandex 360 is the better choice when the team already works inside Yandex services. If Disk, Telemost, Calendar, and Yandex account administration are daily tools, keeping mail in the same suite can reduce operational friction.
It also makes sense for teams with procurement, regional, or user-experience reasons to standardize on Yandex. In that case, Shipmail's narrower scope is not the goal. The team wants a suite, not just email hosting.
The migration path is standard email migration. First create the Shipmail domain and all destination mailboxes. Then copy historical email over IMAP before changing DNS. After the mailboxes exist, update MX, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records so new mail routes to Shipmail.
Keep Yandex active for a short overlap period while DNS propagates and users confirm their mail clients are working. Once new inbound mail consistently lands in Shipmail and old mail has been copied, cancel or downgrade the old Yandex setup.
Use Yandex 360 when the suite is the point. Use Shipmail when email is the point.
For teams that only need custom-domain business email, shared role inboxes, and predictable pricing, Shipmail is the more focused Yandex Mail alternative. For teams that already depend on Yandex Disk, Telemost, and Yandex organization controls, Yandex 360 is the more natural home.
