Fastmail pricing in 2026: business plans and what a team pays

These are US prices from Fastmail's pricing page, checked on November 1, 2026, tax excluded. Fastmail bills each user and lets one account mix plans, so an owner can be on Professional while contractors sit on Basic. Every plan has a free trial of up to 30 days.

Short answer

Fastmail costs $3 per user a month for Basic, $5 for Standard and $9 for Professional when paid for 12 months, in US dollars before tax. Paid month to month, the same plans cost $4, $6 and $10. Standard is the cheapest plan with custom-domain addresses of its own and Outlook or iPhone Mail support.

Fastmail price per plan

Fastmail has three business plans. Basic costs $3 per user a month paid for 12 months, Standard $5 and Professional $9. That is $36, $60 and $108 per user a year. Prices exclude tax.[1]

For one person, Fastmail also sells Individual, a personal plan at $6 a month or $5 a month paid yearly, with custom domains.[1]

Monthly, yearly, 2-year and 3-year billing

Fastmail is cheapest when you pay several years ahead. Prices per user a month:[1]

  • Basic: $4 monthly, $3 on 12 months, $2.85 on 24 months ($68.40) and $2.80 on 36 months ($100.80).
  • Standard: $6 monthly, $5 on 12 months, $4.75 on 24 months ($114) and $4.67 on 36 months ($168).

You can add or remove users and change plans at any time, with a pro-rata credit for unused time. You can cancel at any time, but Fastmail gives no refunds for unused subscriptions, so use the trial to decide.[1]

Storage and seat limits

  • Basic: 6 GB per user, 5 GB for mail, calendar and contacts and 1 GB for files.
  • Standard: 60 GB per user, 50 GB for mail, calendar and contacts and 10 GB for files.
  • Professional: 150 GB per user, 100 GB for mail, calendar and contacts and 50 GB for files.
  • Every business plan includes shared addresses such as support@, shared calendars and a company address book.
  • The pricing page sets no maximum number of users.
[1]

Add-ons

The only add-on on the pricing page is storage: you can buy up to 300 GB per user. Fastmail does not list its price there, so check it in the account before you buy.[1]

What each plan leaves out

  • Basic: no custom-domain addresses of its own, no Scheduled Send or Snooze, and no third-party apps such as Outlook or iPhone Mail. Once your account has one Standard or Professional user, Basic users can also make addresses on the domains you share with them.
  • Standard: no email retention archive for legal compliance.
  • Professional: everything Fastmail sells for business.
  • Every plan: the pricing page lists no AI assistant, newsletters or booking pages.

Recent price changes

Fastmail's pricing page announces no price change. The US prices are the same as when we last checked the page, on October 15, 2026.[1]

Worked example: a year for 3 and 10 people

Fastmail bills every user, so the yearly cost is the price per user times the team.[1]

  • 3 people paid for 12 months: Basic $108. Standard $180. Professional $324. Standard paid monthly: $216.
  • 10 people paid for 12 months: Basic $360. Standard $600. Professional $1,080. Standard paid monthly: $720.
[1]

Mixing plans lowers the bill. An owner on Professional and two staff on Standard cost $228 a year instead of $324 with everyone on Professional.[1]

Fastmail compared with Shipmail

For 3 people, Fastmail Standard costs $180 a year and Shipmail Pro $90. Fastmail Standard gives each person 50 GB for mail, more than a Shipmail mailbox holds.Sources[1]Fastmail pricing[2]Shipmail pricing

Shipmail prices the plan, not the person. Solo is $4 a month for 2 mailboxes and one person, Pro $9 for 4 mailboxes and up to 5 people, and Team $29 for 12 mailboxes and unlimited people. Annual billing costs 10 times the monthly price. Each mailbox holds 15 GB on Solo and Pro and 25 GB on Team.[2]

  • 3 people on Shipmail Pro: $9 a month, $90 a year on annual billing.
  • 10 people on Shipmail Team: $29 a month, $290 a year on annual billing.

Shipmail plans add what Fastmail's pricing page does not list: a team inbox for support@ with assignment and internal notes, booking pages, newsletters with no subscriber limit, and an AI assistant in beta that drafts replies. Fastmail is the better pick if you mainly want a fast mail app and a lot of storage per person.Sources[1]Fastmail pricing[3]Shipmail shared inbox documentation[4]Shipmail booking pages documentation[5]Shipmail audiences documentation[6]Shipmail Assistant documentation
