Thunderbird

Thunderbird supports auto-discovery via autoconfig. Entering your email address and password should be enough for automatic setup.

Setup steps

  1. Open Thunderbird and go to Account Settings.
  2. Click Account Actions > Add Mail Account.
  3. Enter your name, full email address (e.g. you@example.com), and mailbox password.
  4. Click Continue. Thunderbird will query the autoconfig endpoint and detect the settings automatically.
  5. Verify the detected settings show IMAP on port 993 and SMTP on port 465, both with SSL/TLS.
  6. Click Done.

Manual configuration

If auto-detection fails, click Manual config and enter:

SettingIncoming (IMAP)Outgoing (SMTP)
Servermx1.shipmail.tomx1.shipmail.to
Port993465
SecuritySSL/TLSSSL/TLS
AuthNormal passwordNormal password

JMAP (Thunderbird 128+)

Thunderbird 128 and later support JMAP. During account setup, select JMAP as the incoming protocol and enter https://mx1.shipmail.to/.well-known/jmap as the URL.
